Race Day Hacks!

  1. Vaseline/Body Glide

  2. Wetsuits

    • Practice taking on and off

    • Practice swimming in one

    • Avoid wearing jewellry as they can tear and make holes in the wetsuits

    • Try different brands on to find the right fit

    • The wetsuit will be super tight and is meant to feel like a second skin.

  3. Suncream. Apply as soon as you get up and just before the event.

  4. Mental preparation, visualisation, position affirmations, mentally prepare and focus on deep breathing.

  5. Say thank you to volunteers. The day couldn’t function without them, they will be there come sun or rain and they stand for hours making sure it’s a smooth event for you.
