Sportives 2018

I wanted to share with you top sportives in and around London, for 2018, that I've either done or had recommended.

This year I've only dipped my toe in the adventures that riding a bike can take you. We rode the 70km Japanese Shimanani Kaido across 6 islands, we cycled to and from Amsterdam over the course of a weekend, London to Brighton and back again, London to Paris in 24 hours.

For those that are new to sportives, British Cycling class sportives as

"Sportives are a personal challenge rides allowing you to test your legs without the hassle of having to plan a route yourself. Routes usually range from 20 to 100+ miles, with events running more or less every weekend up and down the country. Sportives are a great way to take your cycling to the next level if you are a regular commuter, take part in led rides, go on weekend rides with friends or simply looking for an opportunity to get out on the bike where all you have to worry about it turning up."

Also check out what rides Dirty Wknd cycle club are putting. They lead regular weekend rides out of London, all levels welcome and a really friendly bunch!
